Content policy

What you may not submit

You may not use TurnItHuman to produce or edit:

• Sexual content involving minors, in any form. We report it where the law requires.
• Content that facilitates serious harm, such as instructions for weapons capable of mass casualties, targeted violence or encouragement of self-harm.
• Fraud and deception: fake reviews, fake testimonials, phishing emails, impersonation of a real person or organisation, or forged records.
• Harassment and hate aimed at a person or a protected group.
• Malware, exploit code or credential-theft kits.
• Third-party text you have no right to edit, such as copyrighted articles paraphrased for republishing.
• Work that must be your own under the rules of a school, employer, publisher, court or regulator, when you tell us that is what it is.
• Spam at scale, such as thousands of near-identical marketing pieces.

What is allowed

The policy targets facilitation and deception, not subject matter. Academic discussion of violence, crime, sexuality, extremism or drugs in an essay, report or article is fine, as are legal drafting about crimes, fiction with mature themes, and medical or psychological content. If we ever act against legitimate academic writing, that is a mistake: tell us.

Enforcement

We review reports and accounts that appear to break this policy. We may stop processing a job, suspend an account or close it, depending on how serious the breach is. If we suspend your account we email you, and you can appeal by replying to that email.

Reporting abuse

Send reports to [email protected]. Include the job id if you have it. Job text only exists for its retention period, so report quickly.
