Refund policy
Effective
We want you to pay only for what works for you. This page explains when you can get your money back and how to ask.
On this page
When you can get a refund
Plans: you can ask for a full refund within 7 days of a charge if you have used under 20 percent of the words in that billing cycle. This applies to monthly and yearly charges.
Word packs
Word packs: you can ask for a full refund within 7 days of buying a pack if under 20 percent of that pack's words have been used. Pack words are used oldest pack first. A refund removes that pack's unused words.
One pack refund per account every 12 months.
If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you agree at checkout that the words are delivered at once, which ends your 14-day right to withdraw. This refund rule still applies.
If we close an account that has not broken our terms, or we stop offering the Service, we refund the share of each pack's price that matches its unused words. For example, if half of a pack's words are unused, we refund half of what you paid for it.
Deleting your account removes your unused pack words, and they are not refunded once the deletion completes. Ask for any refund you are due before you delete your account.
What is not grounds for a refund
Detector outcomes are never grounds for a refund. TurnItHuman shows an independent detector estimate on every humanized result, but detectors change without notice and we do not guarantee any score from any detector.
Failed jobs are never charged
If a job fails, the words it reserved go back automatically, to your plan words or your pack words. You do not need to ask for a refund for a failed job.
How to ask
Email [email protected] from the address on your account and tell us which charge you want refunded. We reply by email and issue approved refunds to the original payment method through Stripe.
What happens after a refund
A refund returns money, not words. For a yearly plan, the subscription is set to end at the close of the current period unless we agree otherwise with you. Opening a card dispute instead of asking us may pause the account until the dispute is resolved.
